This year we compete in these classes:

The Finnish Championships in dressage, Grand Prix

For Finnish riders only, preliminary qualifying competition via video.

 

Kür

Open for all, but with preliminary qualifying competition via video.

 

Advanced class B dressage test, open

 

Easy class B dressage test, open

 

The Finnish Championships in show jumping

For Finnish riders only, with preliminary qualifying competitions from February to May in several places  around the country. Obstacle height 100-110 cm, with timing.

 

The Finnish Junior Championships in show jumping

For Finnish riders only. Competitors must be born in 2008 or younger. Qualifying competitions from February to May in several places  around the country. Obstacle height 70-80 cm, with timing.

 

Show jumping with timing, 90 cm obstacles, open

 

Show jumping with style evaluation, 80 cm obstacles, open

 

Show jumping International Class with timing, 70 cm obstacles, open

The International Class is for competitors from all over the world, including Finland. We will select by lottery an equal number of competitors from each country (or as equal as possible) for this class. In every other respect it is a normal show jumping class with timing. The competitors from abroad must enroll by the end of May by emailing to skyhdistys.international@gmail.com. The total number of starting places in this class is 40. If there are leftover starting places in the international class, they will be filled with Finnish competitors before the event.

Maximum height obstacle jumping or puissance, open

Traditionally starting from approximately 110 cm. The official Finnish record at the moment is 135 cm.

 

Western horsemanship, open

 

Show jumping with timing, 50-60 cm obstacles, open

 

Horse show for stallions and mares, self-made, open

Open for all, but with preliminary qualifying competition via photos. No geldings allowed.

Please notice that the show horses will remain at the show area during the event. That means you need to have another horse with you to compete in dressage, obstacles or western riding.

 

+ Some easy access open classes with easy obstacle courses and barrel racing competitions that you can enroll for at the event (5 euros per start)

Tickets

Tickets to the event cost 12 euros in advance, 15 euros at the door. Seinäjoki Areena welcomes the audience at 10 AM on Saturday 15.6.2018 and the competitions will start at noon. Tickets can be bought in advance from TIKETTI.

The competitors, voluntary workers and vendors do not have to pay the entrance to the event.

The Venue and Accommodation

SEINÄJOKI AREENA

The event will take Place in Seinäjoki Areena where we have  approximately 10 000 square meters of space for

–       a sales area with over 120 small hobbyhorse vendors

–       show jumping courses

–       two dressage courses

–       a jumping event for real live rabbits in co-operation with Suomen kanihyppääjät ry

–       plenty of room to move around and 1400 seats for the audience

Seinäjoki is located 2 hours 40 minutes away from Helsinki by train and 1 hour 15 minutes from Tampere.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer air filled mattresses (22 euros per night) or you can book a room at Siirilän tila/Siirilä farm, where we also arrange the day camp on Friday.


Program

FOR THE HOBBYHORSE FINNISH CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEKEND

 

Thursday 13.6.2019

18.00 The crew of the event and the visitors that have booked a sleeping place at the school will start arriving to the group accommodation.

 

Friday 14.6.2019

7.00-9.00 Wake-up call and breakfast at the group accommodation.

9.00 Day camp starts. The participants will be divided into groups of 10. Each group will do four different activities during the day, approximately 1-2 hours at a time.

  1.    Sewing and handicrafts workshop
  2.    Trail riding
  3.    Show jumping and basic dressage (gaits, etc.)
  4.    Camp competition classes

11.00-12.30 Lunch. Tasty vegetarian dish, green salad, bread, spread, milk or Finnish sour milk. Please inform us of any allergies and other food related issues (ie. lactose free, gluten free diet etc.) beforehand. The professional staff in the kitchen will take everything into a careful consideration.

12.30-14.30 Afternoon activities.

14.30 All groups gather together. Snack (fresh fruit etc.) available.

14.40-16 Camp competitions! Suitable classes for all the day campers. Competing is not compulsory. Classes open ONLY for the day campers. Competition fees are included in the price of the day camp. Audience free of charge.

Saturday 15.6.2019 !!! DAY OF THE MAIN EVENT !!!

7.00-8.30 Wake-up call at the group accommodation.

8.00 Doors open at the Seinajoki Areena for the event crew.

9.00 Doors open for vendors at the Areena

10.00-19.00 The Finnish Hobby Horse Championships 2019 at Seinäjoki Areena.

12.00 Start of the competition classes.

19.00-21.00 Dismantling of the event in Seinäjoki Areena

 

Sunday 15.6.2019

7.00-9.00 Wake-up call at the group accommodation. Everyone must be out by 12 o’clock latest. See you next year, beloved friends old and new!
